Voices International

A multicultural choir bringing people together through the universal language of music.

Thank you for your interest in joining Voices International!
Our next opportunity to join will be for the Spring Season 2026, beginning in January 2026.
Exact dates will be confirmed toward the end of the year.

What does it take to become a member?

No prior musical training is required. What matters most is your commitment:

  • Attend rehearsals regularly
  • Spend time practicing at home
  • Learn your part thoroughly before concerts

We do not hold formal auditions to join, but we do verify that all singers know the music before performing.

Spring Season 2026

For the upcoming season, we are especially seeking Tenor and Bass voices, though singers of all voice types are welcome.

Rehearsals

What are the rehearsals like?

We generally sing from memory, which gives us freedom to express the music. To help you learn your part, we provide practice tracks and other learning tools.
For more complex songs, we use black folders in concerts to ensure the best musical quality.

A small selection of songs includes light choreography.

Weโ€™re a very sociable group, and each season brings both new and returning members.

When are the rehearsals?

Regular rehearsals: Mondays, 19:00โ€“21:00

Additional rehearsals: Wednesday evenings during the month leading up to concerts

Warm-ups: Begin promptly at 19:00 โ€” please arrive on time

Workshops: Two Saturday workshops each season. These are the equivalent of 2 or 3 rehearsals and are essential to the overall development of the ensemble. This is also a great chance to get to know the other members as we traditionally have a potluck after the session.

Where are the rehearsals?

Health Safety at VI

Voices International wishes to create a safe environment for all our singers, whilst still making it possible to sing together as a choir. Therefore we regularly review our policy to ensure the safety of our members regarding their health (including COVID-19 or other viruses)

We therefore ask all our members not to come to rehearsal, if:

  • you are sick or have symptoms (flu, Covid, etc.)ย
  • you test positive on the day or the days before for Covid
  • you had a close contact with someone Covid positive (household or other) in the previous 3 days.

In addition, we will air and ventilate the auditorium during rehearsals. Please make sure to bring a sweater. If you prefer to wear a mask, please feel free to do so.

If you need any other guidance regarding COVID safety, please find more information on the government website: โ€‹โ€‹https://covid19.public.lu/
